General locomotive driver training

General locomotive driver training

Courses are held on average once a year. We publish the times and conditions of the courses on our website. The course ends with an examination, a prerequisite for which is participation in at least 75% of the programme. Upon finishing training, participants will receive a locomotive driving license.

We hold a license from the Ministry of Education and Research for the training of locomotive drivers. The requirements, content, and examination procedures for general locomotive driver training are established in the regulation  regulation issued by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications and training is organised under the plan  GENERAL TRAINING PLAN.

The price of the course for beginners is 2500 euros per person, and 1500 euros per person for advanced participants, both excluding VAT.

Target groups:

Beginner   –   has not previously worked as a locomotive driver assistant nor does he/she hold a recognised locomotive driver assistant qualification. This is effectively potential retraining for individuals from an entirely different field of work.

Locomotive driver assistant   –    holds a valid locomotive driver assistant qualification and has worked as a locomotive driver assistant for at least four months. Generally, this is for railway employees who want to develop further.
