The C30-M upgraded diesel locomotive is a joint project between AS Operail and Czech company CZ Loko a.s. Locomotive is rebuilt and assembled in Operail’s Tapa depot, in Estonia. For assembly the main frame and bogies from original GE C30-7Ai locomotive are used, as well as modules supplied by CZ Loko.
The locomotive’s power unit consists of Caterpillar 3512CHD diesel engine and Siemens 1FC2 631-6 traction alternator.
