Students are very interested in Operail
In the first week of March, we visited students at the largest student career fairs in Estonia and presented them internship opportunities at Operail.
At TalTech’s career fair ‘Võti Tulevikku’, which took place on 3 March, we set up a booth where students could test their knowledge about railway rolling stock. We also provided information on internship opportunities and introduced the areas of activity of Operail.
We also took part of the Logistics Seminar organised by the students of Tallinn University of Applied Sciences on 5 March. In addition, we got to meet brilliant students in an exciting new format – interviews which lasted exactly 100 seconds with each internship applicant.
The main topic of this year’s Logistics Seminar was ‘Logistics Redefined’, and the seminar was opened by Raul Toomsalu, Chairman of the Board of Operail, who also participated in the panel discussion on the impact of the new transport development plan on the Estonian logistics sector which was held after the opening speech. Kirill Spektor, Chief Specialist of our sales department, took part of the discussions on special transport with a presentation on oversized freights.
It was a pleasure to see that the students at both events expressed a keen interest in the railway sector. Nearly 30 students sent their applications for an internship.
