May is exercise month in Operail
Operail has announced an employee-oriented exercise campaign that is running from 1 to 31 May. The aim of the campaign is to encourage people to be physically active.
Within the first six days, Operail employees had participated in 120 training sessions, run, cycled or walked 992 kilometres and burned nearly 75,000 calories. A training session can involve running, cycling, hiking, walking or speed walking.
On its website, the National Institute for Health Development recommends 30 minutes of uninterrupted physical activity a day. According to its specialists, aerobic exercise is necessary for strengthening and maintaining one’s health. In addition, physical activity supports mental wellbeing.
